Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

EE's forums turned 10 years old this month, so it's like two achievements in one!

For nostalgic purposes, here's a brief history of the forums:

Aug 5 2010 - Cyclone hosts EE's first forums on
Benjaminsen was buddies with Cyclone, who just so happened to have his own forum hosting site, Forumify! Check out the image below for the first ever post and thread, which can also be found here in a more messed-up state.

Mid-late 2013 - After lots of downtime, Atilla and Meredith take control of the forums and revive them.
Cyclone became less and less active during this time, and many Forumify forums started having lots of downtime, especially due to spambots. EE's forums were down for months, so Atilla/Meredith did some social engineering, contacted Forumify's hosting provider and hijacked the domain name.

Dec 2013 - Cyclone notices his site got stolen and takes back control.
Idk what they expected would happen. Btw Meredith (Meredith1999) was a dude.

Dec 2013 - Atilla/Meredith rehost the forums on
You can check out the announcement thread here! The original EE Forumify site went on holiday after this.

Feb 2015 - Different55 hosts the New and Improved™ forums at
After lots of questionable moderation, Diff (who was a forum admin) became a traitor, downloaded most of the subforums and built a replica in secret at (not to be confused with the original failforums) until it was ready to go public.
Meredith wasn't happy when he found out, and nuked It was quite a dramatic period. You can find Diff's post about the new forum here.
Fun fact: (where Diff was a mod) began its life on Forumify in 2011, and lots of EE players used it.

Aug 2015 - Forums move to
5 years after their birth, the forums finally came over to and became the place we all know and love. Check out the announcement thread here.

It was a bumpy ride from Forumify to here, but we made it. Who knows, maybe we'll even reach 1M one day.

What are your favourite forum memories?

Classic items can't be bought with energy.

But ok nvm.

Moved to Game Suggestions.

Progression keeps players coming back to a game. Buying block packs with energy over time is like unlocking new content; unlocking it all instantly is like playing a game with cheats. It gets boring quick.

You cheated not only the game, but yourself.
You didn't grow. You didn't improve.
You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory.
Nothing was risked and nothing was gained.
It's sad that you don't know the difference.

#9 Re: World Creation » EverybodyEdits Rocks » 2020-08-10 12:13:31

Ok but please give a bit of information about the level. Don’t just post a link. Try using the world tag as well;

#10 Re: Worlds » [EEU] Station_01.exe (Remastered) » 2020-08-09 12:12:55

If EEU ever gets featured levels, this’ll be one of em.

#11 Re: Game Discussion » Regarding Lurid's resignation and other staff-related events... » 2020-08-06 13:26:04

I think the people who don’t say mean things have already posted, so I’m gonna lock this.

#13 Re: Game Discussion » ANALISIS - Current EEU basic movement weaknesses (EEU LAME Physics) » 2020-08-04 02:21:27

What I read:

It’s bad because it’s different.

Maybe the problem is that you’re building EE minis in EEU. In that regard a newcomer might create smoother gameplay since they’re unbiased by EE’s physics.

Uhhh can we head back in the direction of the topic pls thank you.

#15 Re: Game Discussion » Has EE got pwned (Breach) again? Is it safe to continue playing EE? » 2020-07-31 23:14:59

I think players learned already to use a unique password and dummy email, and not send any sensitive/personal information in chat/PMs/mail. Beyond maybe not spending real money in the shop in case that’s insecure, what other dangers are there?

Someone uploads a custom game client with a Flash exploit that Adobe themselves haven’t patched? A hacker gets edit access to the webpage and inserts something malicious that browser/OS security can’t handle? I could be completely wrong but I feel there’s not much real harm that could be done to players who aren’t fooled by things like in-game phishing or other social engineering trickery.

By the way, since you forgot you were supposed to care about the rules, I'll make your job easy for you. It's in the pinned thread in Forum Games.

Perhaps the game already started.

Heck yeah, !join.

I spit on you small-minded Mafia players who need your rules defined to the millimetre by a lawyer before deciding whether to play.

maybe the greatest treasure was the rules we made along the way

#23 Re: Game Suggestions » add fall damage » 2020-07-28 11:53:28

I wondered if you could write a BAL with fall damage without doing something super janky like simulating physics and collisions. Didn’t find a way in EE; probably not easy in EEU either.

#25 Re: Bug Reports » Never ever really bothered to update this thumb in register window » 2020-07-22 17:12:47
