Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

What is the point in anon if it can be easily removed?

When someone creates an anonymous thread, they can remove the anonymity of all the posts whenever they like. It might not be a problem if you trust the owner, but they're anonymous so how can you trust them? You would avoid posting embarrassing things in case anonymity is removed. Okay. So then what's the point in anonymous threads if you don't treat it like an anonymous thread?

My suggestion is that once you make a thread anonymous, you are not allowed to remove anonymity again.

I think this should be common sense.

If you're going to make voting permanently anonymous, people should expect permanent anonymity on anonymous topics.
Moreover, there are flaws in the anonymity system that make it's inception utterly pointless - you can easily figure out who an anonymous poster is, without being the topic creator.

Sadly so. I wish to stress this, for kicks and whatnot.

I'd be a fan of a special type of anon topic, where both options would remain. However, it'd be easier to implement and understand if we stuck with the single variation of anon topics where they cannot reveal.
