its still possible to use isolate in any topic by altering the link to the thread but i dont remember how
the option for the feature was removed in most subforums for a reason, not really necessary

Thats not a real reason , you're pretty much saying the same as AlphaJon, just in a more long winded way.

If people are asking for it then obviously there are some good uses. (e.g. To see all the OP's content in topics where they post updated info or whatever, e.g. X user's graphics suggestions)

well they're constantly updating OP with all of the new content that they make, i dont see how isolate would be much useful in this specific case

well they're constantly updating OP with all of the new content that they make, i dont see how isolate would be much useful in this specific case

I guess most people do put a copy of the suggestions in the OP, but even if they do it could still be useful to see different versions or more in depth descriptions of them which would only be in their posts.

A few more examples of good uses:

• Any Game Business topic to see the staff's official statements

• Signature / avatar topics to see what the OP has made (similar to graphics suggestions but its more common for them not to be in the OP)

• Bot topics to see a 'changelog' of everything the maker has posted

• Bug reports to see any further descriptions / extra info given by the OP

• Any crew topic to see any info given by the owner

good point, although ctrl + f with staff name is usable

arguable, some put their work into OP, some dont

Bot topics to see a 'changelog' of everything the maker has posted

im playing the OP card here again, cause most bot makers have a changelog in the OP

Bug reports to see any further descriptions / extra info given by the OP

fair enough, but bug report topics rarely attain more than one or two pages. mafia topics (the reason why isolate was added) attain up to 50 pages. and OPs rarely provide additional info

Any crew topic to see any info given by the owner

Well yes its usable, but it would definately be easier to have an isolate feature as otherwise you get their woots and people talking about them, and its annoying changing pages if theres a lot of discussion

These are the top 3 bot topics with more than 1 page:
[Release] EEditor 3.7.2 - Offline Editor

The first two dont, and although the last one does, theres nowhere near as much detail as the actual posts for each update

I'd agree with your few pages point, but when there is more than a couple of replies, its very common for almost all the information to be the result of people asking the OP questions about it.

I said it's not happening any time soon because I'm currently working from long before sunrise to long after sunset with 0 free time anywhere so all forum work has ground to a halt.
