You can now randomize portals if you set it as the same ID, http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=30912

And for whatever reason they didn't mention it in the patch notes (at least I can't find it), which makes no sense considering this is a kinda big thing that was missing in the game (the randomness).

I'm surprised they didn't mention it, because it makes a LOT of things possible.
